Latest News SPEAK UP FOR SMART REUSE OF CONCORD NAVAL WEAPONS STATION
On May 12, the City of Concord released the draft Environmental Impact Report to analyze the potential environmental impacts of all seven reuse alternatives. In addition to the potential effects on vegetation and wildlife, the report analyzes transportation/circulation, cultural resources, public services/utilities, noise, visual quality and many other important aspects of the land and community that are affected through development. Concord is holding three last meetings on the plan for the future of the base, and Greenbelt Alliance needs a strong turnout of people advocating for smart growth and open space protection!
